Justice...

Dear Ma'am Panda,

My name is Kevin Mikhail H. Gomez of the Class MC-3B in the Humanities Division. I am writing this letter to inform you that in my opinion, I believe that the way my teacher in MC 353 Print and Media Principles, Ms. Jen Gaabucayan, grades her students has no proper basis and no proper calculation whatsoever.

First of all, during our Prelim, Ms. Gaabucayan told her students to supply a folder for our quizzes and activities. I know that it was my fault that I wasn’t able to immediately supply a folder for myself but I believe that not having a folder is not enough reason to fail a student. Also, even if I passed her quizzes and activities, participated greatly in her class, and paid for my faults regarding my absences, she didn’t give me the proper grade that I deserved. She gave me a 77. Now I ask, what exactly is her basis of grading her students?

Second, during our Midterms, most of what we were doing was listening to invited – by her– speakers – which were not giving lectures, but sharing personal experiences as journalists – from different newspapers. Some of these “events” were held during our activity period. During these “events” Teacher Jen would ask a payment of money ranging from P35-P45 each from everyone, all 65 students, as an honorarium for the speaker of the day. I personally didn’t give any money because I believed that 35 each would be too much. Just imagine having to pay at least P35 from each of us? That’s almost P2300. And we’re paying that much for a talk about their life as a journalist? Also, I was being very participative during these events of having speakers. She also gave us a project during midterms to record an interview, and I passed that interview to her. She gave me a 53 grade. I didn’t pay anyone of those speakers, what exactly is her basis of grading this time? The payment?

Lastly, during our pre-finals, I believe that I may have missed maybe two of her activities, but I’m pretty sure that I made up for that loss. I’m very disappointed, Ma’am, because I think that the grade that she gave me was not properly calculated and not properly thought of. She gave me a grade of 49 which pushed me to finally file a complaint against her. I don’t even think that you can give grades as low as 65. I know ma’am that I have my own faults regarding this subject, yet I believe that if she could’ve considered the fact that we were the “experimental batch” she would’ve though more clearly of the way she was teaching and the way she was grading her new college students.

Ma’am Panda, with all due respect, where is the justice in the grades that she has been giving. Even Ma’am Baldovino wouldn’t give grades this low. To think, we didn’t even learn anything worthwhile in Ms. Gaabucayan’s class. She treated us like children and she wouldn’t even give points for participation. Most of the people she failed in our class were those who were always participating – myself included. I just don’t understand why she gave grades as low as 49. I’d rather be debarred that be given a grade like this. At least, if I was debarred, I’d still have 65.

Sincerely,

Kevin Mikhail H. Gomez

Like Holding Water

My parents and I had a really long talk last week. right after i posted the last entry, we had this thing. they said that since i was still discerning, i should start experiencing everything there is to experience in life in order to really ground the decision i make about becoming a priest.

They said that i should still be open to the rest of the world before i make drastic decisions. they were right. i think that i should experience the world more before i decide on things so big as to become a priest. but the idea still lies in my mind and in my heart. there is still that fire burning.

During the past few weeks, i've been starting to really control myself. every time i commit one of the 7 deadly sins, i put a mark on my notebook. i made San Alberto Hurtado's technique a reality. he also did that when he was discerning.

I've finally told her my feelings. i compressed those four years of untold feelings into about 30 minutes, and at the same time i told her that i was thinking about becoming a Jesuit.

Saying those words and talking to her like that really helped me in opening my heart to really falling in love with another, yet i may have done that because she might be the only reason why i might not be able to continue priesthood. either way, i still feel really relieved.

Now that i've finally let her go; let the fish out of the cage; the bird out of the aviary; i can finally really find that other without having to compare the other to her;the fish;the bird. (Gets mo?)

Maybe my parents were right. i may be thinking about it too fast. but i can really really see it in my heart. the embers of Gods love are strong within me. strong to the point that i can hear his voice. calling me. telling me to go to the seminary and serve. i have the feeling that the true will of God for me is to become a priest. i believe that i will really enjoy the whole priesthood. i believe that my Lord is calling me there. still, i want to fall in love. i want to really have a really real relationship with someone special. she might be just around the corner, or right under my nose. i'll never know. God knows my plan. He knows that i want to experience things first before i make the "this is really is it" decision.

Thats why i let go of my feelings for her. thats why i want to fall in love. thats why i love God.

Thank You Lord...

For always being by my side, for always listening to my short prayers, for always giving me the right answers(even if its not always positive), for always helping me and my loved one's when we are in need, for always guiding me towards Your love, for always showing me the light of Your hand when I am in the darkest corner, for giving me the capability to love others and You, for making my amateur dreams come true, for teaching me how to serve Your name and wholeness willingly, for being just, for being forgiving, for being kind, for being superior, for being wise, for being everything in my life, for loving me, and for walking by my side. Thank you...

I'm going to be a priest.

For the longest time, I never had any idea on what I would do when I grew up or on what I'd be doing in the next 10-15 years. Maybe fantasies but not realistic. I used to want to become a Doctor, but i failed Biology, then a musician, but I realized that i have to have a decent pay, then a lawyer, but I think I be too lazy to study about laws, but to become a Priest? No way. I didn't even believe in God for a few years in highschool. All that has changed though.

In college, I joined the church choir. I don't know why, but for some reason, i was drawn there. something kept on pulling me to join. Of course some of my friends invited me, but i still had the feeling that i was being pulled to join the choir.

I have been in the Sub Dominant 7 for 6 months now and counting. In those six months, i realized a lot of things. the most important realization of all is that everyday in our lives, there is a small miracle happening. unnoticed by many because everyone is to preoccupied to watch. The mas tells us the story of the life of Jesus, and relates This story to our lives. Since His life was of miracles, so is ours. we just have to believe.

I decided that i will become a priest someday. I realized that my service in the choir may be fulfilling but there must be a way to be of deeper service.

I go to mass everyday. i get to know Jesus better and i get to understand myself better. Believing is so good. to know with all confidence that you are beside Him, that is the Christian faith.

The other night, it was raining, and i was looking for a jeepney ride home. three jeepneys have already passed and people were starting to crowd outside the central 911 office in Ponciano street. since there were already so many people, i assumed that a big number of these people were also going to Ma-a. So i prayed. I prayed the Our Father and said "Lord, pahingi naman ng jeep. Ulan man gud tapos daghan naman mi. Please. nya akua lang front seat. bahala na guot bsta maka uli na mi tanan. salamat Lord." i said this prayer with a smile on my face knowing that He was listening.

After a few moments (not minutes), not one, but TWO jeeps arrived! Not only that, they were EMPTY.

It is in these kinds of small miracles that God shows us how he loves us. I asked for one, He gave me two. He loves us more than we can ever love him, because the amount of love we can ever offer is always returned to us twice as much. that is how much He loves us, and that is the reason why i am answering his call.

But now, I have that faith back, and thats all because of Subdom. Dahil sa Subdom, natutunan kong mahalin Ang Diyos ng tapat talaga to the max. Sky's the limit. Minsan kung Bored na bored na talaga, i'll go somewhere to drink, kahit ako lang isa, ganun ako ka worthles lump... hahaha!!! but all that is gone now.

You all are great people, and I've seen all of that goodness in all of you. I've never memorized over 30 names in one day, ganun ko kayo lahat ka love. Newbies and oldies alike... hahah!!! Dba? How could I forget the names of the people who've changed my life?

Thank you for giving me another great family to call my own, and for giving me a shelter where I am safe... God Bless to all of you and "may the abs be with you."

Indis

In our world today, many things are changing. Now fortunately for us – mass com students – one of the most highly developed things known to man is the mass media – from text messaging to 10.5 mega pixel Digital SLR cameras. Everything! Because of this, is it safe to say that the people in the mass media industry should be the one’s who are educating the people in our country?

Everyone watches the movies. Everyone watches films and teleseryes and commercials. So that means the movie industry and the film industry, along with the television industry, should be the one’s who are actually educating our people, am I right? Filipinos – in particular – are now turning into a dim-witted race. The funny thing here is that our intellect, through the years, is exponentially deteriorating. Somebody should do something about this, and since the mass media is available to everyone, they should be the one’s who are reeducating our people, our nation, our homeland. Even some of our Government officials are stupid, what more are the poor, uneducated Filipinos living in the streets and begging for extra change?

In the Philippines, there is such a large amount of people who wholly support the Mainstream Filming industry – industries such as Viva Films, ABS-CBN, GMA, Star Magic, etc. The people in our country love these because of the actors and actresses playing the leading roles of the characters in the movies and because of the themes such movies possess (even if the theme has been used over and over and over again). But the question here is that if they learn anything from them, anything critical or anything that shows them the truth about many things around them? Maybe they do, but not as much as they should. Mainstream movies have very shallow themes and very little educational and academic information. They’re all entertainers, and not educators. Shouldn’t the media be a medium of educating others? Shouldn’t it be able to express more educating than entertaining? In the filming industry, the real target of the artists, directors, producers and staff is to be able to entertain the public, so that they can capture their attention, and to educate, once the attention is in the palm of their hands. They have to be able to teach good morals to those people in our country and not just show us how Aga Mulach and Anne Curtis Fell in love in a Beach, or how Vhong Navarro Got to be Lasticman. Love is not a lesson to be taught, isn’t it? Isn’t a thing like love something that is taught to us by the world itself, by our experiences in life and by the trials and failures we have made?

In independent Films, they tackle more serious topics about the world around us, and the events that are happening in our country – may it be a current issue or otherwise. In these films, they aim to really educate the people and to entertain them as well. They have their target market and they try to really capture them, but unfortunately, they don’t get to always get what they want. Independent films have deeper and more serious issues in their content. They try to show the lessons in ways that are obvious and at the same time entertaining.

So should we balance the support between the mainstream and independent movies? No! We should actually turn the tide. Because the strength of the mainstream now is so impenetrable that even if we support both at an equal level, the mainstream will still be the one which the people will prefer to watch.

There are so many good independent films in our country. They may not have actors and actresses as good as those in the mainstream industry, but the things they try to get across are very well thought of, factual and honest.

If It Jams -- Force It. If It Breaks -- It Needed Fixing Anyway

I am in serious trouble.
There are times in a man's life
when he makes a most terrible
mistake to someone.

I guess my time has come.
I did something stupid,
and the right reasons of doing so
seems to be invisible
to the naked or clothed eye.
I was careful, and I was wrong.
I had no choice
and I regret ever having no choice.
I got involved,
and I'm a fool to have ever gotten involved.
I am a fool, and I am not proud of it.
I hate what I have done,
but I don't hate myself.

A friend once told me
that not all things good are right,
and not all bad things are wrong.
I'm telling you now,
if only you knew what really happened,
what I did was good, but it wasn't right;
what I did was bad, but it wasn't wrong.
I had no bad intention,
I only came along because I had to.
I couldn't leave her alone out there you know.
She'd go anyway, with or without me.

Persistent and fearless,
a person of great strength.
With a heart of a lion
and the timidness of a squirrel.
Nothing and no one can get in her way.

I tried,
but she's apparently
stronger than me.
I'm a weak,
helpless,
stupid
and disgraceful
creation.
Terrible things have happened to me in my life
but this,
by far
is the hornet among th bees.

I should just let the leaves flow,
and the autumn wind take the guilt away.
I feel awful.
In the state of calamity,
my mind is in the state of calamity.
I'm a terrible, terrible person.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry to have gotten this far.

I have a friend who now lives in Manila. He's part of the Barkada and one of the most intelligent guys among us. I'm not going to put his name here for privacy reasons. Anyway, (magtatagalog nalan ako ha) gusto ko sanag ipagmalaki ang isang to. napaka bright, at napaka bait. First impression ko sa kanya noon was "hilas" or "wala'y ayo" pero mali talaga ako. noon ko pa na realize na mali ako ok... baka isipin nio na ngayon lang kasi tinulungan nia ako...

So eto siya, since the lord didn't give me the gift of knowledge, minsan nagaamit ko naman ang gift nitong kabarkada kong ito. This is one of those instances where I asked for help, and he was there to lend me a hand.

Kibinoy=Me
War_shock6=Him

kibinoy: Bai!!
kibinoy: help...
war_shock6: haha
war_shock6: sige ano man?@_@
kibinoy: Wala man gud sa net bai...
war_shock6: hmm teka
war_shock6: what do you mean by social implication?
war_shock6: what exactly?
kibinoy: Ang kanyang effect cguro sa people....
war_shock6: hmm
war_shock6: ganito kasi
war_shock6: diba separate ang church and state?
kibinoy: yup...
war_shock6: the state provides the legislation and ordinances for the people
war_shock6: however, the church serves as a check and balance to the state
war_shock6: sort of like a moral compass
war_shock6: for example
war_shock6: the state would like to pass a legislation legalizing prostitution
war_shock6: of course the church would go against that
war_shock6: and, by influencing the people to go against it, it serves as a check and balance to the state
war_shock6: so that the state doesn't have too much power and doesn't abuse it
war_shock6: and at the same time, the legislations being passed are morally and ethically correct
kibinoy: ahh....
kibinoy: hahah!!!
war_shock6: hahaha
kibinoy: salamat bai.... ur a genius....
kibinoy: So thats basically it?
war_shock6: pero teka
kibinoy: ok...
war_shock6: it's not just the state ha
war_shock6: it also serves as a moral standard for other things
war_shock6: like the church has the power to complain against the entertainment business
war_shock6: when the entertainment business produces films/commercials/shows that, in the church's view, are morally decadent.
war_shock6: the church basically serves as an upholder of moral decadence in society, making sure that industrialization and advancement in technology will not affect the moral character of the country's people
war_shock6: yun
kibinoy: Ah ok...
kibinoy: hahah!!!
kibinoy: Salamat bai...
war_shock6: npnp
kibinoy: Salamat bai.... where would i be if you didn't have YM.... hahah!!!!
war_shock6: lol
war_shock6: hahaha
war_shock6: wala ra 'to oi
kibinoy: Anyway, i have to translate all that into an essay pa...hehhe...
kibinoy: Salamat ulit bai...
war_shock6: sige sige
kibinoy: Tama diay...
war_shock6: gl with your essay
war_shock6: ?
kibinoy: mu balik ba ka sa Kadayawan???
war_shock6:ay dili pa lagi sure
war_shock6: pero ganahan ko
kibinoy: I text ko ha...
kibinoy: Kanang one week befor...
war_shock6: lagi lagi
war_shock6: text2x lang
kibinoy: para maka pananghid na ko daan...
war_shock6: ah sige sige
kibinoy: hehhe....
war_shock6: aytayt
kibinoy: Salamat ulit...

Kita nio? Even if he's a smart ass and a nerd at times, he still has his cool side. Matalino na chuy pa! Oha, asa ka ana? I praise this guy, bow down talaga ako... Salamat ulit bai... hahah!!!

The Man Behind th Rainbow Mask

For Naruto Fans Only

Ok, so we all know him right? We all know Uzumaki Naruto, the boy who has the kyubi (nine-tailed fox) sealed inside his body. We also know that it was none other than the 4th Hokage (the highest ninja rank in a certain village is called a Kage) Yondaime who sealed the kyubi inside Naruto’s body. Also, let’s not forget the one and only Akatsuki, who are known as a group of elite ninjas that have abandoned their villages to cause havoc and devastation. The thing here is that Naruto has been chased by the Akatsuki for more than three years. We all know why right? Its because the Akatsuki leader wants the powers of the Bijuus for himself and his comrades. The real question here is that who is the Akatsuki Leader? Hehehe… while you’re reading this, you’ll eventually find out.

Naruto

NARUTO is a young ninja striving to become the best among the rest. He is very kind hearted, passionate, quick tempered, confident and he would do anything for his friends. With the nine-tailed fox sealed inside his body, Naruto is one of the most powerful anime characters you will ever encounter. His dream is to become the Hokage someday. Trained by the one and only Hatake Kakashi, the copycat ninja who can copy any technique in the blink of an eye, and Jiraiya Sama, one of the Legendary Sanin (a special kind of ninja rank that is almost just as good as the Kages themselves). Naruto, as a young ninja, was part of Team 7 otherwise known as team Kakashi. Team Kakashi was led, of course, by Kakashi and his students were Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. Sasuke was one of Naruto’s dearest friends and Naruto was the type of person who would do anything to help his friends. At the end, Sasuke ended up into going to the dark side with Orochimaru, another one of the Legendary Sanin. Since Naruto knew that he didn’t stand a chance against Orochimaru and his army, he went with Jiraiya for a long and harsh training for success. But we all know that right?

Yondaime

THERE ISN’T THAT MUCH TO SAY ABOUT YONDAIME because he only shows up in the first episode of the series. All I know about him is that he is the 4th Hokage otherwise known as the “Konoha Yellow Flash.” Yondaime is also an apprentice of Jiraiya. Trained by the best and turned to the best, that’s Yondaime. He is the sensei of Hatake Kakashi. He also was the one who sealed the nine-tailed fox into Naruto’s body. After sealing the Kyubi, his body was offered to the “God of Death.” Some say that Yondaime is Naruto’s Father, or Uncle or something. I’m not really sure… you be the judge. Anyway, we all know he’s dead right? Hehehe… think again.

Why am I so caught up in this now?

The Akatsuki is a group of elite ninjas. The best of the best assassins you’ll ever see on TV. They all have their own little specialty and their forehead protectors all have a scratch symbolizing the abandonment of their own village. Orochimaru was once part of this organization when suddenly he just decided that he can do it by himself, or maybe something else? Among the members of the Akatsuki is Uchiha Itachi. Itachi is Sasuke’s only brother and also Sasuke’s reason on joining Orochimaru and his army. Sasuke’s aim in life is to kill Itachi because Itachi killed everyone else in the Uchiha Clan. Anyway, so the Akatsuki *Blah Blah Blah*… and then we find ourselves wondering who the leader is… right? Every time the show gives us a glimpse of the Akatsuki leader, all we see is a guy with spiky hair and a rainbow colored face. Where’s the fun in that?

Just recently, I was looking at some pictures in the internet. I logged in to google images and jotted down “Yondaime.” After a few seconds I saw this… WHAT!

Yondaime is the Akatsuki leader… *dun dun dun* *Thunder Clapping and Lightning Strikes*

If you think that this is a very pointless post, believe me, I think so too… but the world has to know! Yondaime, the Konoha yellow flash/4th Hokage, is the Akatsuki leader!

Unfortunately, I was corrected by a certain ass-wipe named Paulo Prieto who, by the way, is a YLS... ask him... he knows what it is... Also, he gave me a site that has the rest of the neruto stuff thats off the charts, or the televisions. Well, thats it...

Pau, everyone knows that were really good friends... but YLS... im gonne get you someday... you kiss-ass spoiler... hehe... joke lang bai..

But Hey! I'm A Smart-ass Ain't I?

One sad Saturday afternoon, I was watching a dvd in my parents' room. Halfway into the movie, just when everything was starting to sizzle, my mom walks in with disturbing news.

(I go out, Dad comes in)

Dad: O, nasabihan mo na?

M: O pero ayaw. Kaw nga mag usap sa kanya.

(Dad goes out, and into my room)

K: Yeah, but I don’t wanna go dad.

D: Why? Its for the better you know, and besides, you have that “Charm” with you. You’ll make new friends in no time.

K: But dad, this place is like home to me.

“But dad, this place is like home to me.”

Not a really smart answer right?

But hey! I’m a smart-ass ain’t I?

To those who are reading...

There is no truth in this particular post...

I just got bored and this is what I do when I'm bored...

I hate this summer...

I miss school...

I Love This Game

I believe that the only game I have ever, ever loved was none other than Pokemon! I love it! I have played, and finished each and every Pokemon game from pokemon Yellow-Emerald.

Actually, the games are separated into four groups. I have played the first three groups because, unfortunately, the fourth was designed for a Nintendo DS, which I, apparently, don't have. These groups are called "Generations" and these Generations also has their own divisions called “Versions.” Now, each generation has its own storyline, own characters, and own pokemon and each version has the exact storyline as the other versions in the Generation (Are you getting all that?). Though all of them have many differences, there is always one ultimate goal. Defeat the Pokemon League and reign as pokemon master. I’m telling you, it’s a beautiful, beautiful game that I think you will eventually love as much as I do.

Generation 1 (Versions: Yellow, Red, Green and Blue)

The first Generation revolves on the original master, the master among the masters, the one and only, Ash Catchem. Ash is a 12 year old boy who has a dream of becoming the best among the rest. His starter is Pikachu, a lightning type pokemon who can create enormous electric charges and colossal thunder bolts with a little help from his red cheeks. The game is simple really. The key is patience, trust and teamwork. You can’t just train one pokemon because you’ll need a whole battalion to win the game with flying colors. At first, it was a real challenge. But at the end, it was all worth it. The first version in this generation, and this game as well, is called Yellow Version. This version, for me, is definitely the best. It’s the original and it has all that energy in it for something so old. It’s fabulous.

Generation 2 (Versions: Crystal, Gold and Silver)

Pokemon Crystal, the very first RPG (Role Playing Game) I've ever accomplished. One of the best, I tell you, I memorized every encounter like it was written on the back of my hand. What’s so cool about this Generation is that this is where they started adding new pokemon. Originally, there are 152 pokemon but in these versions, there were, I think, 304? And they all looked like so new and powerful. All of them were stunning at first, but I just kinda got used to them. In these versions, there is a legend that envelopes the storyline (actually, there’s a legend on all versions, but I think this one has the best). About a bird, that has rainbow colored feathers, and three unwillingly powerful dogs, that can control the volcanoes, the thunderclouds and the seas. These three were punished and banished from the world and turned to stone. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to wake them up if you want to finish the game. Hehehe

Generation 3 (Versions: Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby)

These, my friends, are the latest. If Gen 1 wins on best storyline and best picture, Gen 2 wins the best legend and best actor, Gen 3 definitely wins best graphics, battle style, and many more (most colorful, prettiest character, coolest pokemon, worst bosses, etc…)

The best thing about this is that you can really explore the place, and I mean EXPLORE. It’s so big, biggest map ever I think. And the puzzles will drive you nuts. Damn, I miss this game. The only thing I can say about this Generation is that it has way better graphics, sound, pokemon, and shitty stuff.

Actually, I can't really explain how I exactly love this game. Maybe because when I had no one to turn to, this was my only output of terrible feelings. Anyway, if anyone asks me what i love the most or what my favorite past-time is, its definitely Pokemon.

A Trip Away From Home

"April 21, 2008 Monday. A Lot or things happened that day. Many endearing encounters with many discreet things."

We were going on a road trip. Me , my parents, my sister, my grandpa, and my cousin. Marilog was the destination, and far away was the location. At first, I really didn't want to go, and while I was in the car, I just slept. There wasn't a pinch of interest in my mind, but just a pinch. not even enough to make me want to wake up and eat, but i didn't have any choice.

Well, the reason why we went there was that my mom bought a little patch of land in the Marilog Province. About 4 times the size or our lot here in Davao, and about 40 times less likable as well. What can I say? I admit, it was a drag.

After more than an hour on the road, we finally got there. Dad parked the car near a local church. The church was standing right next to a pretty steep cliff and it looked like it was about to collapse any minute. Just going near it made me feel nauseous. Little did I know that we were supposed to go down that cliff to go to our "little patch of land"

So it was me, my mom, my dad, my cousin, my sister and Boy, the amazing-mountain-walker guy who looks like Gandalf from "Lord of The Rings". He's our guide. We left Tatay behind because, at his age, he can't possibly survive a long walk like that, he wouldn't even be able to go as far as ten steps... [no offense Tay... :) ]

25 minutes of walking up-hill and down-hill. Tiring? Yes. Worth-it? Nope. I'm sorry to say this but it looked terrible. When we got there, I immediately said "This is what we walked for?" It was terrible! It was hot and weedy and messy and dangerous! It was terrible! Its a good thing there were pretty interesting looking bugs down there.

Usually, here in the city, when we see flies, we kill them, right? Not only because of their filthy existence, but also because of their disgusting features. Here, on the other hand, is different. In Marilog, their flies have really, really BIG GREEN EYES. I was so amazed! I've never seen a green eyed fly before. They were big and looky. You know what looky is? It means they look at you... a lot! They just kept on looking. I don't know... maybe I had something on my face or something... it was weird. They even followed us back up to the car.

When we got back to the car, food was our first target. Because of that exhausting walk in the mountain/forest/wasteland(/soccer field?), hunger became the new problem. As soon as we had our eyes on the car, and said hi to Tatay, food was in our minds. Food food food… mmmmmmmmm…. :9

After eating, drinking and a little farting, if I might say, we all went in the car and the car went even deeper into the roads of the Marilog Province. Well, not really that deep inside, maybe just about 200 meters further in. Anyway, we went to another patch of land, with coffee planted all over, and children playing all around. It was a hill on the mountain. And not just any ordinary hill, you see, there was a legend amongst us at the time.

There was this house you see. And this house was standing on top of this hill you hear. Now, this ain’t no ordinary house. Its abandoned. Why? Oh, you wouldn’t want to know, but I’ll tell ye anyway… *Evil Laugh*

So there was a house at the top most part of the hill. Actually, it was a pretty nice looking house. The sad part about it was that there was once one man who lived in that house, who died. He was at the roof, fixing something, they said, and it was at the middle of a heavy ferocious rain. They say that he just fell of, and his skull opened along with the fall. Some say that they saw someone, or something, go up the roof with him hit his head with something. Some say he was struck by lightning. No one knows exactly, but they do know this. Ever since that accident happened, people have never lasted a day in that house. They call it nothing and they treat it like nothing so that nothing goes in and nothing goes out. But hey! I got a glimpse of nothing! That’s cool right?

On the way back home, we came across this little café along the road. I didn’t see it at first because I was asleep going to Marilog. Unfortunately, time did not allow me to go back to sleep on our trip back, but its ok because I got to eat really nice and fresh tasting bread.

The café’s name was Logdeck. It was owned by an Israelite and a rather nice one if I might add. He served us so generously. He gave a cup o’ Joe for everyone, nice Israelite pita bread, and one really big omelet for everyone on the house(ok... only the first batch of bread was on the house... unfortunately, we ordered a lot more food afterwards...). The omelet was wonderful; it had all these different spices in it. Parsley, oregano, chives, and some onions I think. Anyway, the owner/cook/waiter’s name was Odet. He must’ve been the same age as my parents; he had a rather amusing accent, white balding hair, and a good sense of taste, that’s for sure.

At the end, everything went well. We all enjoyed ourselves, had a nice afternoon home, had a nice nap, had good food to eat and, most importantly, a good story to tell. I enjoyed our trip to Marilog, even though at first I thought it was going to be terrible. It was actually very exciting, fun and delightful.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get any more pictures because the camera's battery ran dry on us. Hehehe...

Ang Babae Nga Naman

This morning, my mom found this poem in her drawer. It was entitled “I Just Can’t Understand You Woman.” It was written by an anonymous writer and it seemed that it was written ages ago. The paper looked like it would turn to dust at any minute and it was written with a typewriter. The paper had torn edges and all of the sides had, at least, one part torn in half. There were also holes in it that seemed to look like the beginning of its turning to dust.

This poem was actually very intriguing. My mom told me to read the damn thing and make a song out of it, but instead, I’ll write it down here first so that some people can bear with me… :D

So, this is how it goes:

I Just Can’t Understand You Woman

If you’re well dressed, she thinks you’re a playboy
If you’re not, she thinks you’re rugged
If you kiss her, you’re not a gentleman
If you don’t, you’re not a man
If you praise her, she thinks you’re lying

If your don’t, you’re good for nothing
If you agree with all her likes, she abuses
If you don’t, she doubts your love
If you make romance, you are an experienced man
If you visit her often, she claims it’s boring

If you don’t, she accuses you of double-crossing
If you visit another, she accuses you of being a traitor
If she is visited by another, Ah, it’s but natural for a girl
If you’re a minute late, she complains it’s hard to wait
If you’re on time, for hours she’ll make you wait

If you propose love within a brief acquaintanship, you’re a fresh guy
If you postpone it to later, she wonders why?
If you fail to assist her in crossing the street, you lack ethics
If you do, she thinks it’s just one of mans tactics
If you kiss her once in a while, she says you’re abusing

If you kiss her always, she says you don’t respect her
If you don’t kiss her at all, she says you’re dry
If you contradict her, she does not like it
If you don’t, she thinks you’re easily deceived
Oh! Woman – thou art so simple yet so complex to understand

So, how was it? Whaddaya think huh? Hehehhe…. And tell me, how on earth am I going to make a song out of that??

Mahal Ko Ang Bayan Ko!

17 years old pa ako, kaya nagwoworry na ako.

May isa pang problema. Mayroon tayong, more or less, 400,000 fresh graduates every year.

Mahirap na to!

1. Population, most likely, will double in 35 years

2. Rice in our country is getting too expensive, even though we're rich in it

3. Many of our fishermen can’t catch fish the same as before.

4. Even if the fishermen can catch as much, it still won’t be enough to both support their families, and to earn a living

5. A living in this country can only be called “a living” if it’s used with “hell” at the end

6. There are 400,000 graduates every year, and still, there are 64.4 thousand fresh graduates that are unemployed

7. The people running our country are, evil, stupid, corrupt and destructive

Summer + walang summer class = walang pera

Basta! Give me money, and I’ll solve our problems! Believe in me. Please… :D

Bai, naa kay load? Pa-text beh? Please…

“I know that I have let you down,
And what I do is always wrong.
But I promise you that I will be good,
And just for you I will be strong.

Tears are rolling down my face,
The thought of losing you makes me cry.
I just want us to be okay again,
Please, don’t say goodbye.”

“sorry and I want you back… please?”

May entrance exam pa nga siguro e. Kaya for now, college nalang muna ang tatapusin ko. Diba Mommy? :D

“Father almighty, please guide me today and never let me go, help me in all of the things that might give me pain and heal me when I am in grave danger. Amen.
Send this to 20 people or the love of your life will die in 2 minutes. Ingat… :)”

Kakainis!

IQ TEST: Henry’s mother has five children namely

  1. Chachey
  2. Chechiy
  3. Chichoy
  4. Chochuy
  5. ???????

What is the name of the last child?

Henry pala.

Sinong Nangyari Jan?

What Kevin Mikhail Means

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.

You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.

People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are very hyper. You never slow down, even when it's killing you.

You're the type of person who can be a workaholic during the day... and still have the energy to party all night.

Your energy is definitely a magnet for those around you. People are addicted to your vibe.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

Pinaghirapan For Three Years

From 1st year high school up to 3rd year high school, pinagaralan kong ituwid ang aking katauhan.

HAHAHA!!!

Ok kami kasi napaka organized namin.

HAHAH!!!
